Jessica  Jane  

Jessica Jane Cassar is a Maltese actress from Mosta.

From a very young age she has been involved in the arts. She started singing in the local church choir where she also learned the guitar. From then on she studied classical music such as the viola and piano and obtained Distinction in all her theory examinations. After, she joined the Amadeus Chamber Choir where she also studied individual voice techniques with Brian Cefai and Michelle Cachia Castelletti. During that time she took part in various concerts. Later on, she joined the St. Monica’s Choir under the direction of Sr. Benjamina Portelli. Having a passion for electronic and dance music she studied the art of DJing. 

At age eighteen, she had the opportunity to go to Los Angeles to audition in front of casting agents and had a week of training at Stella Adler Academy. On her return to Malta, she took workshops for television acting with Take2, Rewind, DarC Productions and studied screen acting at the Malta Drama Centre under veteran Lino Farrugia and theatre at Masquearde. She has obtained Distinction in all her Trinity acting examinations. She holds an ATCL in Speech & Drama from Trinity College London. She was in feature films such as Deceduti wara l-ahhar tad-dinja, Klassi Ghalina vs Dragula and other short films such as Melita, Ha tbusni? The Good, The Bad and The Girl on the beach. In television she was involved in Prima Facie, Izd’ImmaMentri..Pero, Il-Patt, Hbieb u Ghedewwa, Rajt Ma Rajtx, Strada Stretta, Deheb il-Karta, Qalb in-Nies, Frekwenzi Hiemda, Fattigi, Klassi Ghalina, Sorelle, F'Gieh l-Imhabba, Noli, Ulied il-Lejl, Bizzilla and ic-Caqqufa. In 2017, she had the opportunity to travel to London with the cast and crew of the film '7 days in Entebbe'. It was a great experience filming at Ealing Studios and working with director José Padilha who is also the director of renowned TV series Narcos. She has featured in the British TV series 'Birds of a Feather' Christmas Special.

Apart from acting, Jessica is also a model. She was a contestant in Miss Malta 2014 and took part in various fashion and hair shows. In 2018, she had the opportunity to model for a Chinese reality show which was filmed in Malta at Palazzo Parisio. She has featured in different commercials such as Burger King-Pama, Cisk, MIA, Valletta Film Festival, Aperol Spritz and BOV Pension Plan.

 She was also involved in a web series called "Coming Soon" which is now  on You Tube. She has featured in 'Marija s-sabiha' short film/music video produced by Take 2 , 'Royal' music video produced by The Crowns and 'Miles Away' short film/music video produced by The Busker.
